I absolutely loved staying at this unique hotel in such a special location. Everything was just perfect. The villas are beautiful and spacious, with so much attention to detail and total privacy. The swim at sunset in my own private pool was unforgettable. All my stress and worries just slipped away. The restaurant is truly exceptional, huge compliments to the chef and kitchen team, and the spa treatment was out of this world. These ladies have magic hands! I will be back sometime and stay a little longer. To be honest, I can’t wait to do it again! If I could give the Hanging Gardens of Bali 7 stars, I would.

One of Bali’s finest getaways

My husband and I have been seeing Hanging Gardens of Bali’s Instagram feed for years now. Finally, for our second honeymoon, we decided to give it a go!

The stories and the grammable photos are all real! My jaw dropped the moment I arrived. The location of this resort makes it a destination in itself. We’re talking a mystical temple right in front, where hundreds of candles are lit every night at sunset. A place where monkeys play alongside exotic birds and where the sound of the river and more birds drowned all my worries away. The food was great! Must try their steak selection, impeccable cuts. The breakfast is not to be missed! Good homemade bread and pastries, everything melts in your mouth like butter. The in-room dining menu is also a winner—go for the burger. You can thank me later. Service was very personal. This is what I love about boutique hotels, you feel like part or a family, not a tourist. Hands down, 7 stars. Must visit!

We stayed for 4 days in a riverside villa number 64, this is the best hotel we have ever booked. If your thinking about booking “just do it” you will not be sorry. Staff and service next level, hotel next level, your own villa with private pool over looking the jungle — priceless. We could not fault this hotel, food, cocktails, pools, cable car and gardens all amazing. We hope to get back there again someday. Highly recommend.

Best swimming pool!

The property is surrounded by an amazing view of a jungle with sometimes a chance of a heavy fog appearing that heightened its beauty. Love the pool design no wonder it is an award winning, the best pool in a hotel by Azure Azure. The villa itself is fantastic with a private pool overlooking a vast jungle. The funicular is a fun way of a transportation here between facilities. Super recommended!

«Медицина» — именно так переводится название города Убуд. Бали всегда славился умиротворяющей атмосферой, но его культурный центр особенным образом влияет на здоровье и психологическое состояние людей. Здесь растет очень много целебных трав, а слияние двух рек концентрирует энергию земли, которая делает человека бодрым и жизнерадостным. Об Убуде известно, что в VIII веке здесь медитировал Рси Маркендя, японский вишнуит.

Лишь в конце XVI столетия европейцы впервые приехали в Убуд. Бали первыми посетили голландцы, именно они в начале ХХ века сделали остров частью Голландской Ост-Индии. К местной культуре европейцы относились с уважением, всячески поощряя ее развитие. Благодаря этому, народ сохранил свои многовековые традиции, которые чтит и по сей день. Первые места для отдыха здесь появились в 1936 году, с тех пор много чего поменялось на острове, отели и многочисленные бунгало растут, словно грибы после дождя, но Убуд умудряется сохранять свой первоначальный облик.

Убуд считался одним из богемных мест, поскольку сюда съезжались художники, композиторы, актеры, режиссеры, музыканты, в общем, все творческие люди, чтобы набраться сил, вдохновиться на создание новых шедевров. Среди выдающихся деятелей культуры следует отметить Чарли Чаплина, Дорти Ламур, Маргарет Мид, Стинга.

Висячие сады – одно из семи чудес света. Но если вавилонская диковинка канула в лету, то индонезийская радует многочисленных туристов. Необычный дизайн ландшафтов был позаимствован у насаждений Семирамиды, над созданием великолепной конструкции трудились архитекторы Джон Петтигрю и Уильям Уоррен. Созданные ими ландшафты представляют собой удивительное зрелище – тропические деревья и экзотические растения стремятся вверх. Кроме зелени, здесь есть еще и разноуровневые бассейны-инфинити.

Отель «Висячие сады» Убуда буквально утопает в зелени, его со всех сторон окружают экзотические растения. Благодаря специальной конструкции бассейнов, расположенных прямо у номеров, туристы могут обозревать окружающие красоты, тропические леса. У них создается впечатление, что они парят в облаках, наблюдая с небес за великолепием земли.
