Zen Garden

The Zen Garden is a feature unlocked as soon as the player collects their first sprout. Players can grow the plants they own here to give them boosts to be used in one level. Additionally, the player can obtain gold coins here by growing Marigolds.

Growing plants [ ]

Plants have one stage of growth and takes time to grow. After reaching the time they take to grow, the plant grows and provides a boost. The boosted plant can be used in the game for one level, however they are disabled in conveyor belt levels such as Special Delivery and boss battles, and in Last Stand levels due to the Sun Discount boosts being exploitable. Once the boosted plant is used, the plant disappears in the garden. Marigolds are also plantable, but growing them will result in five gold coins instead.

The player starts with six pots, but the player can spend 20 gems to buy an extra pot for up to twelve pots.

Bernie the Bee can occasionally be seen flying around the garden. Tapping him, then on a plant will reduce the time a plant needs to grow. After reducing a plant’s growth time, Bernie will need to rest for 15 minutes before being able to reduce another plant’s growth time.

Plants vs. Zombies Wiki

Plants vs. Zombies.

Plants vs. Zombies [ ]

Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West [ ]

В Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time,

Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars [ ]

Plants vs. Zombies Online 2 [ ]

Plants [ ]

Plants have one stage of growth. Upon reaching this time, the plant grows and provides a boost. The boosted plant can be used in the game for one level, where it activates its effect as if Plant Food was given once planted. Once the boosted plant is used, the plant disappears in the garden. Marigolds can also be planted but produce five gold coins upon reaching its growth stage. They produce no boost (as they cannot be planted in game) and thus disappear upon growing to full size. Occasionally, Bernie the Bee can be found in the garden. Guiding him to a plant will reduce the growth time of the plant by 10%. There is a small chance the growth time will be reduced by 20%, and a tiny chance that it will be reduced by 50%.

Plants can be planted on six pots, but the player can spend 20 gems each to buy an extra pot up to the maximum number of twelve pots.

When killing a zombie, it may drop a sprout, which, when planted, grows into one of the plants. Those plants can be then watered to grow them further. There are two types of plants:

Marigold [ ]

Marigold can only be used in the Zen Garden without hacking. After it grows to full size, it will drop five golden coins and disappear, giving the player 500 coins in total. A Marigold will be planted instead of a regular plant every fourth sprout. Rarely, it will appear after three sprouts. Very rarely, it will appear after two sprouts. Extremely rarely, it will appear immediately after another Marigold. This amount is reset every time the app is closed or restarts.

Other plants [ ]

Every other plant will create a Plant Food boost. Players can then decide if they want to activate it. After activating it, the plant’s pot will start glowing. This Zen Garden does not include instant plants such as Cherry Bomb and Grave Buster as they do not have Plant Food effects.

      • Wall-nut, Pumpkin, Murkadamia Nut, and Boingsetta are the exception, as they took 5 hours instead of 3 hours 30 minutes despite they cost 10 gems at the seed selection screen.
      • Electric Peashooter and Power Vine are the exception, as they took 3 hours 30 minutes instead of 5 hours despite they cost 12 gems at the seed selection screen.
