Being Dark Enchantress Cookie’s left arm is not an easy fate. Especially so when you fail your task. Licorice Cookie shuddered at the thought of Pomegranate Cookie’s ice-cold glare. This next mission was ambitious enough to help the young dark sorcerer restore his. not so good name. Licorice Cookie could describe it as «totally random poison mushroom mayhem in the woods!» Officially, the mission was titled «Operation Poison Mushroom.»

«Sprinkles! I mushroomed the sprinkles all over the forest. Huuuh?»

«You did WHAT?! Ah! I get it. Well done, you! This very operation, my little cloud-minded friend, will help us regain our reputation in Dark Enchantress Cookie’s eyes!»

The two hid behind a big rock, waiting for unsuspecting Cookies to stumble upon the poisonous mushrooms, then placed quite generously along the main forest roads.

Soon enough, the little Pancake Cookie appeared, whooshing merrily among the tree branches.

«Whooohoo! Phew! Huh?! A mushroom?!»

«Yes, yes! Now pick the mushroom!» Licorice Cookie was already savoring the moment when Fig Cookie suddenly emerged from the woods and stood in Pancake Cookie’s way.

«You’d betta not wake up this mushroom from its peaceful dreams!»

«You betcha, lil one!» Every mushroom an’ fruit innis for’st dreams ‘eir own sweet dreams! Wanna hear a story?»

«Yes! Yes! And! Can I ride on your back?!»

Fig Cookie kneeled, allowing Pancake Cookie to climb atop their back. Then the two rushed away: the light and clear sound of Fig Cookie’s little hooves was accompanied by Pancake Cookie cheerful giggling. Licorice Cookie was speechless. Speechless and infuriated!

The operation is bound to fail as long as these two meddlers are around! Licorice Cookie and his mushroom-loving sidekick decided to walk in the opposite direction. And so they walked, walked, and walked. The red-tinted sky had already started to darken when the conspirators finally found an old tree stump.

«This is it! This is the place, Poison Mushroom Cookie!»

«Aha! The mushroom friends! Pleased to meetcha!»

Suddenly, the spore-sprinkling stopped. Both Licorice Cookie and Poison Mushroom Cookie froze in surprise. The smiling Fig Cookie stood in front of them with a mushroom in their hands.

«Huuuh? You’re heeeere? But I though. you went theeere?!»

«Tis for’st is my home! I jump and prance here an’ there! Are you two lost? Shall I point tha way?!»

With these words, Fig Cookie picked Poison Mushroom Cookie up and galloped away. «THAT’S NOT THE PLAN, YOU. » Licorice Cookie yelled at his companion, moving farther and farther away with a peaceful smile. He was left all alone, just he, himself, and his failure. In a few days, he finally managed to find a path out of the forest, raggier than ever. And echoes of his furious yet helpless yells still haunt the trees.

  Poison Mushroom Cookie is a very small Cookie with deep brown dough who wears a dark violet tunic with long, striped periwinkle sleeves. They also have what appears to be a giant purple mushroom cap on their head with fuchsia-colored spots. They have a «lumpy» zigzag-shaped mouth and purple, sunken eyes.

  In a preliminary design concept, Poison Mushroom Cookie had more of a skull motif, especially in regards to their head; their face and cap were placed in such a way that it resembled a human skull, with their mouth taking a W-shaped «lumpy» form to resemble a stylized alveolar process and top row of teeth. Although the skull motif was more or less dropped in their final design, their oddly-shaped mouth is likely a remnant of this former look.

  Poison Mushroom Cookie serves as one of Dark Enchantress Cookie ‘s underlings, performing tasks given by either her or Pomegranate Cookie . Despite being under her servitude, however, Poison Mushroom Cookie appears to lack any sort of malicious intent or even awareness of what it is that their group does. Instead, they act childish and playful, taking even complete defeats in stride and befriending everyone they come across, even those of which they are supposedly an enemy. They seem to get along with Licorice Cookie best, tagging along with him in his schemes like a little sibling.

  Poison Mushroom Cookie is very eager to share their mushrooms with other Cookies, seemingly unaware of the harmful effects the fungus has on normal Cookies, which is often taken advantage of by other members of the Cookies of Darkness; in the Timeless Kingdom Episode, they were made to use one on Pure Vanilla Cookie by Licorice Cookie to induce hallucinations, allowing their group to capture him, though they only assumed they were giving Pure Vanilla Cookie a harmless fun time. This occurs again in Grandberry Market when Licorice Cookie uses Poison Mushroom Cookie’s spores to spike some fruit punch, inducing reckless and aggressive behaviors upon nearly everyone who drank it.
