The Twilight Forest

Entering the Twilight Forest is done by creating a Twilight Forest Portal. A 2×2 pool of water only 1 block deep forms the basis for this portal; additionally it must be surrounded by «natural» vegetation including flowers, grass, saplings, and mushrooms. Once the pool is surrounded in this manner, the portal is completed by dropping a Diamond into the water. The water will turn purple, similar to a Nether Portal and a bolt of lightning will strike the portal. Once the portal is activated, it is possible to remove the flowers around it while keeping the portal intact.

Finding Bosses [ ]

To start finding bosses you can do the very slow method of just wandering around, or you can craft a magic map.

Progressing [ ]

To be able to acces different areas you need to kill the bosses in an order, and after killing each boss a new area opens.

The first bosses are the forest bosses. The first one is the Naga. The Naga can be found in the Naga Courtyard. After defeating the Naga you can acces the lich tower, where the Twilight Lich lives.

After killing the Twilight Lich and getting a scepter will allow the player to enter the Swamp, Dark Forest, and Snowy Forest as well as the dungeons in each area.

The next stage in Twilight Forest progression is the Twilight Swamp. The Twilight Lich must be defeated and its Scepter taken before entering this phase. Entering this stage before the Twilight Lich is defeated will inflict Hunger on the player. The first Swamp boss is the Minoshroom. He can be found in the bottom of a Labyrinth inside a large cube with fences covering each entrance. Killing it and will allow the player to enter the Fire Swamp.

The next swamp boss is the Hydra. The Hydra is a serpent-dragon that spawns with 3 heads. Hydras can be found in a Hydra Lair, which are only found in Twilight Swamps, and Fire Swamps. Killing it will complete one step to unlocking the Highlands.

The next stage in Twilight Forest progression is the Dark Forest biome. Players will have Blindness inflicted on them unless they have defeated the Twilight Lich first. This can be circumvented if the player is wearing a helmet enchanted with Night Vision.

The firs Dark Forest boss is the Knight Phantom. This boss is found in a large room inside of the Goblin Knight Stronghold in groups of 6. When killed will allow access to the Dark Tower.

The next Dark Forest boss is The Ur-Ghast. The Ur-Ghast can be found in the Dark Tower found in the middle of the Dark Forest. It is found at the top of the tower. Killing it and taking the Fiery Tears will complete one step to unlocking the Highlands.

The next stage in Twilight Forest progression is in the Snowy Forest and Glacier biomes. If entered before defeating the Twilight Lich, the player will freeze and move much slower than in other biomes.

The first Snowy Forest boss is The Alpha Yeti. The Alpha Yeti is found in the Yeti Lair, in the center of Snowy Forest biomes. There are four natural entrances. Killing the Alpha Yeti and obtaining the Alpha Yeti Fur will unlock the Glacier biome.

The Next Snowy Forest boss is The Snow Queen. The Snow Queen is found in the Aurora Palace, located in Glacier biomes. When conquered, the player will complete one step to unlocking the Highlands.

When the Hydra, Ur-Ghast and Snow Queen have been defeated, the Highlands will unlock, revealing the final stages in progression. If entered before defeating all three bosses, the player will be damaged by acid rain.

Unlike previous stages, the Highlands does not have a boss to defeat, rather an item to obtain to get to the center. This area is split into two: the Troll Cave and the Cloud Cottage. To complete this achievement, the player must obtain the Lamp of Cinders from inside an Obsidian vault, requiring a Giant’s Pickaxe to break in. Once the Lamp is acquired, the player can move on to the next stage.

The Thornlands stage is the final functioning stage in Twilight Forest. It is completed by simply burning through the dense bushes of Thorns with a Lamp of Cinders. This allows the player to move onto the final stage of progression.

The Final Castle is the final stage of the Twilight Forest. The top of the Castle holds a space reserved for the final boss fight. A Kobold named «the final boss» was added as a temporary fight replacement.

Bosses [ ]

In the Twilight Forest, There are a total of 8 bosses, and a final boss, wich is yet to be added. Most bosses areas are unaccessable, and can only be accessed after defeating the bosses before them. The Bosses firstly appear as a mob spawner, and will spawn the boss as soon as you get close to it. There is another friendly boss called The Questing Ram, wich unlike other bosses, this animal is not meant to be slain.

The Naga is a large snake-like creature, and deals 9 points of damage when attacking and has 250 health points. As the Naga loses health, it will lose parts of it’s body and move faster. The Naga is bound to its Courtyard and will lose interest if its targets move out of it. It cannot be damaged by any source outside of the courtyard. When defeated the Naga will drop a Naga Trophy, as well as 8-12 Naga Scales.

The Twilight Lich is found at the top of the Lich Tower. The fight with the Twilight Lich goes through three stages. The Twilight Lich has 100 health points. The Twilight Lich can teleport when in danger, but will not leave the top room unless the player does.

During the first stage the Lich is surrounded by damage-immune shields and wields a Scepter of Twilight and will shoot Ender Pearl projectiles, as well as Fireball projectiles. The Ender Pearl projectiles can be reflected back at the Lich, removing a shield for every pearl the Lich is hit. The fireball projectiles will explode on impact. Additionally, the Lich has two Twilight Lich Shadows that cannot be harmed in any way, but will shoot these projectiles at the player alongside the Lich. These projectiles deal 6 points of damage on impact.

The second stage starts when all the shields have been broken. In the second stage the Lich wields a Zombie Scepter and will summon Lich Minions or Zombies until there is no charge remaining in the Scepter. Once this stage begins both of the Twilight Lich Shadows will disappear for the rest of the fight. At this stage the Lich becomes vulnerable to attacks. The Lich Minions deal 4 points of damage on each attack.

Once the Zombie Scepter is depleted, the fight progresses to its third or final stage and the Lich will wield a Golden Sword, fighting the player in hand-to-hand combat. It will deal 9 points of damage on each attack.

The Knight Phantom is a floating boss monster. This boss is found in a large room inside of the Goblin Knight Stronghold in groups of 6. They have 35 health points apiece. Each wears Phantom Helms, and Phantom Plates. They all move in the exact same way, dancing around the room and spinning in circles to confuse the player. Only one of these dancing figures is the real Knight Phantom: the real Knight Phantom can be determined by which one has a physical body — that is, more opaque than the others. They attack by throwing various Knightly tools around the room and at the player. To defeat the boss all of the Phantoms must be defeated (in sequence with which has a physical body), which can be quite difficult. When each Knight Phantom is slain they may drop one of the Phantom armor pieces, as well as a Knightly tool. Once they are all defeated a Chest will appear in the very center of the room which usually contains enchanted Phantom armor and enchanted Knightly tools and a Knight Phantom trophy.

The Ur-GhastThe Ur-Ghast can be found at the top of a Dark Tower, and appears as a gigantic Ghast with many tentacles. The Ur-Ghast has 250 health points.

There are multiple ways to damage the Ur-Ghast. One option is to use Ghast Traps scattered in the rooms connecting to the top of the Dark Tower. The player can charge these traps by killing Ghastlings. After fully charging a trap, the player can activate it with a redstone signal to critically damage the Ur-Ghast with a red beam. Ranged weapons can also be used to damage the Ur-Ghast. A Twilight Scepter with a couple of Ender Pearls to recharge can destroy the Ur-Ghast quickly.

The Alpha Yeti appears like a large Yeti with six blue horns and red eyes. It has 200 health and is represented by a white boss bar. The Alpha Yeti resides in the Yeti Lair in the Snowy Forest.

In combat, the Alpha Yeti has two forms of attack. First, it will attempt to shoot Ice Bombs at the player, which will leave a freezing area that deals damage quickly and over time. The Alpha Yeti will also attempt to fling the player if they get too close. During this phase, the Alpha Yeti becomes immune to any Arrow damage, so the only choice left is to deal melee damage.

Once enough damage has been dealt to the Alpha Yeti during this phase, it will begin to wildly flail it’s arms around and jump around. This will deal 5 damage if the player is within range of the rampage. Along with this, any blocks around or above the Alpha Yeti will break, which may dislodge any Ice around it, which may deal some damage. This will continue for several seconds before it grows tired and sits down, leaving the Alpha Yeti open to any attacks for a short time. The Alpha Yeti will drop 6 pieces of Alpha Yeti Fur and 6 Ice Bombs upon being slain.

The Snow Queen is a player like mob on an ice cloud. spawns at the top of one of the towers in the Aurora Palace. The tower she inhabits has iced over rooms. She has 250 health points.

During the battle she drifts up and down on an ice cloud. The ice cloud acts as a shield for her, preventing players from damaging her from below. She has two battle phases:

In her first phase, she summons Ice Crystals. These mobs distract the player and allow her to regenerate her health. When her health drops to 125 health points, she will enter her second phase. In this phase, she extends her arms and shoots snow from her hands. She can also fly to the top of the chamber, then quickly fall to the ground, potentially crushing the player with her ice cloud. When killed she can drop the Snow Queen Trophy, Tri-bow, and the Seeker Bow.

The Questing Ram is a friendly boss animal. He is found in the Quest Grove, which can only be found in the Enchanted Forest biome. The Quest Ram has 70 health points, but unlike other bosses, this animal is not meant to be slain. Instead, the player is supposed to complete his Quest of giving it Wool in every color. Wool can be given to him by dropping the Wool under the Ram, or by right clicking the Wool on him. Each time a block of Wool is given his body will elongate and a stripe of that color wool will be added to his body. When his quest is complete, he will drop a Block of Diamond, Lapis Lazuli Block, Block of Iron, Block of Emerald, Block of Gold, a Crumble Horn and a Questing Ram Trophy.
