Garden of Salvation is in full swing now we have reached week 3 of its opening
The Garden brings with it some great looking weapons which are well worth picking up for your collections.
The below is pieced together through my own experience in the Raid so if you’ve seen different, let’s look into it. One conflict I’ve seen is Raid Mods dropping from every encounter, I and my team have not experienced this, only from the Chests have the Mods dropped for us. Let me know your experience on this item.
There are also reports of players feeling the loot is ‘bugged’ somehow in receiving multiples of same pieces from each encounter. Notably my friend has received 9 pairs of boots through 3 Raid runs. Bad RNG or Vex trickery? Let’s find out together
If there’s anything I’ve missed or you wish to add, please let me know
Savage Garden
Garden of Salvation is a Vex based Raid, it is open to all players with a recommended level at the Boss of 940, anything between 920-940 is acceptable in a good team or new players. It offers Pinnacle level rewards for those who have reached the Mountaintop
Strong Weaponry for this includes: Recluse, Izanagis Burden, Mountaintop, Wendigo, Whisper, DARCI with choice open for a strong Primary that you have
Subclasses of note: Nightstalker, Celestial Nighthawk GG, Warlock w/ Well, Titan w/ Ward of Dawn are all viable for this Raid. Top Tree Hammer Titan also a nice choice for the 1st opening encounter
To find a team or Teacher, I suggest r/DestinySherpa, the r/DTG Discord , The PC LFG Discord or the Destiny companion app
Opener — Follow that Squid!
Secret Chest 1
- Any piece of armour that you have already acquired (Reportedly)
- Raid Mods (Enhanced and Regular)
- Vex Mind Components
- Bakens video here shows a sniper drop from the first chest. Also another guy mentioned getting Arms. Only had 2 people confirm alternate loot here so if there’s anymore, let me know. As mentioned, personal experience here is boots and mods only so if there’s more, that could be great for additional gear
Encounter 2 — Pole Control — Summon the Consecrated Mind
Encounter 3 — Gambit with extra steps — Consecrated Mind
- Chest
- Ancient Gospel — Solar Hand Cannon
- Sacred Provenance — Kinetic Pulse Rifle
Secret Chest 2
- Any piece of armour that you have already acquired (Reportedly)

GoS Mods list
FYI using multiples of Raid mods STACKS the % increase making them more effective in the Raid.
Mod Name | Armor Element | Cost | Effect |

Resistant Tether | Arc | 1 | Gain damage resistance while apart of a tether chain. Multiple copies of this mod stack to increase the benefit. |
Enhanced Resistant Tether | Arc | 3 | Gain powerful damage resistance while part of a tether chain. Multiple copies of this mod stack to increase this benefit. |
Voltaic Mote Collector | Void | 1 | Gain an overshield after you collect 10 motes. This mods effect does not stack with other copies of this mod. |
Enhanced Voltaic Mote Collector | Void | 3 | Gain an overshield after you collect 5 motes. This mods effect does not stack with other copies of this mod. |
Voltaic Ammo Collector | Solar | 1 | Increases the chances of finding heavy ammo while you have the voltaic overflow buff. Multiple copies of this mod stack to increase the benefit. |
Enhanced Voltaic Ammo Collector | Solar | 3 | Greatly increases the chances of finding heavy ammo while you have the voltaic overflow buff. Multiple copies of this mod stack to increase the benefit. |

Exotic Quest
Note — Besides completing the quest from Raid launch to end, you can get this under the following conditions:
- If you are up to the last step (Get the gun from a raid clear), this will drop from a boss kill if the Fireteam you have joined completed the earlier puzzle
- You can join at the boss and back track to the Puzzle, complete it and then win. Awarding the Exotic
- Leaving the encounter entirely will reset the conditions. You cannot leave, join a non puzzle completed group and get the clear to drop it
Quest Guides
- Full Divinity guide start to finish. Posted this on r/raidsecrets as well. Nice job everyone for helping to figure this out. It was a tough one. — Credit u/spectre15
Challenge Mode(s)
Not active until first one kicks off 5th of November as per Bungie Roadmap
Raid Guides
- Datto all bosses (Also offers broken up versions)
- Kackis
- Nkuch
- Ninja Pups — Bonus — Ninja pups commented his info graphic
(I will add more to this as we go, running Joke in my Raid Team for the boss encounter)
- When Tethering to ‘Build’ the plates at the boss. Shooting the pole once starts the tether but if you want to abandon the build, get away from it and shoot it again, cancelling the tether mechanic.
The Last Word
Garden of Salvation really scratches that itch of mechanical challenge with satisfying outcomes. I would liken it to Wrath of the Machine albeit shorter feeling and arguably easier to master
That is in no discredit to the Raid itself as previous Vex Raids have done, the scenary and soundtrack really is something to experience in itself
The encounters are engaging for the full team without being so far out of reach to welcome new players to learn.
The gear looks great and unique and while the Armour set did get some heat when discovered, I do still think it looks great to wear on our Guardians
Happy Raiding, Guardians

All Weapons and Armor Included in the Garden of Salvation Raid Loot Table in Destiny 2
The Vex bring great treasures from beyond this universe
Each raid in Destiny 2 brings a slew of new weapons and a nice new armor set for each class into the game. Unlike a couple of the other raids in the game, Garden of Salvation doesn’t have patterned weapons so you still need to farm it to get the loot you are looking for. Since you only have one chance per character a week, you will want to make sure that you are looking in the right places of the raid for the items you want. Let’s go over all of the loot available in the Garden of Salvation Raid in Destiny 2 and what you get it from.
All Loot in the Garden of Salvation Raid in Destiny 2
Raid loot tends to be a bit more valuable than dungeon loot since it is much harder to farm. With a dungeon, you can farm the encounters as much as you want to get what you want. As long as the weapon or armor can drop from the dungeon, you can get it at some point. However, raids are unable to be farmed like this. The closest you can get to farming a raid is to re-run encounters for spoils and use those spoils to buy copies of items you have already obtained from the raid from the last chest.
Since you can only farm the raid a limited amount of times each week you will want to be as efficient as possible. This is why knowing which encounters can drop what loot is quite important in a raid. If something you want only drops from the first encounter, you only need to run it each week and can save some time and effort by not running the rest of the raid.
With that said, here is what each encounter can drop in the Garden of Salvation Raid:
1st Encounter: Evade the Consecrated Mind | – Zealots Reward (Fusion Rifle) – Accrued Redemption (Bow) – Legs |
2nd Encounter: Summon the Consecrated Mind | – Prophet of Doom (Shotgun) – Reckless Oracle (Auto Rifle) – Arms |
3rd Encounter: Defeat the Consecrated Mind | – Ancient Gospel (Hand Cannon) – Sacred Provenance (Pulse Rifle) – Chest |
4th Encounter: Defeat the Sanctified Mind | – Omniscient Eye (Sniper Rifle) – Divinity (Trace Rifle, only available through questline) – Helmet – Class Item |
All of the encounters in Garden of Salvation have a chance of dropping the raid exclusive mods. These can only go on a set of Kentarch armor from the raid and these mods will only work in the raid. However, if you are having trouble with ammo or damage at any encounter in the raid, these mods will be able to help out.
There are also a few secret chests that can be found throughout the raid that can only drop you an item that you have already acquired from the raid already. So if you got an auto rifle in a previous raid, the secret chest might drop another auto rifle but it will never drop a hand cannon until you get one from an encounter in the raid.
Hopefully, this will help you get that last weapon or armor piece you were looking for from the raid, or at least point you toward the encounter you need to focus on. Once you have what you want from Garden of Salvation, you can spend more time trying to get the Cowboy hats for each of your guardians from the Spire of the Watcher dungeon.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Can you farm Garden of Salvation?
Previously, Garden of Salvation could only be completed once per character per week. That meant you only had a maximum of three shots per week and per encounter to find what you were looking for.
Luckily, that all changes with the introduction of the weekly Raid rotation. Every week a raid is featured and becomes infinitely farmed for loot during that week. When Garden of Salvation becomes the Weekly featured raid, it can indeed be infinitely farmed.
You can find the raid rotation for this season here.
The Last Word
How about you? Did you experience the Garden of Salvation the first time around? What gear are you going to chase?
