Kew Gardens

Blue Light Card

Changes to the Blue Light Card terms and conditions have required us to review the arrangements we have for visitors to Kew using this card for a discount. We will confirm the long-term plan for this as soon as possible and in the meantime the card will not allow for any discounted entry to Kew Gardens or Wakehurst from May 2nd 2023. We offer an array of ticket prices, including a £1 ticket for those on Pension Credit, Universal Credit and Legacy Benefits, as well as a young person’s ticket for those aged 16-29 at just £8.50 if purchased in advance, and an after 4pm ticket of £10 for those wanting to visit later in the day.

Before you visit

On arrival you will need to present:

  • Your membership card, or email confirmation of membership if you have one.
  • Your ticket, if you have one (either on a phone or print out).
  • Your voucher, if you booked with one.
  • Your ID, if you booked a concessions ticket.

Refunds and cancellations

If you have tickets to a specific event that has been cancelled, we will be in touch with more details.

If you need to cancel your visit, simply log back in, find the customer service section, and ‘select cancel order’ to free up a place for someone else.

You will get a full refund if you cancel up to 48 hours before your visit.

If you need to cancel within 48 hours of your visit, you may not get a refund. So, we suggest you add-on Refund Protection when buying your ticket.

You might not know that we are a charity and we rely on this income from tickets sold. If you cancel, please consider donating the price of your ticket.

Planned closures

We may occasionally need to close attractions for maintenance or safety reasons: check for planned closures before you visit to avoid disappointment.
