Роберт Трухильо и Лес Клейпул устроили батл на бас-гитарах в короткометражке «Precious Metals»

Роберт Трухильо и лидер фанк-метал классиков Primus Лес Клейпул схлестнулись в дуэли на бас-гитарах в короткометражном фильме «Precious Metals» («Драгоценные металы»). Режиссером пятиминутного ролика, украдкой рекламирующего гитарные звукосниматели EMG Pickups, выступил сын Леса Клейпула Кейдж Клейпул. По сюжету ленты, действие которой разворачивается во времена Золотой лихорадки на американском Диком Западе, Клейпул находит месторождение… золотых звукоснимателей. Пока не обнаруживает. что по его следам прошел конкурент в виде Трухильо. Но музыканты неожиданным образом приходят к перемирию, и все заканчивается дружеской дуэлью на бас-гитарах.

Primus is listed on Shure’s website as a user of this microphone at «What they use». Les Claypool uses this mic for «dirty» during songs like «Tommy the Cat», and «My Name is Mud» and this can be seen at live performances.

Designed by Les Claypool and made by Les’s longtime friend and luthier, Dan Maloney, the bass was made to be the most comfortable and easy to play four string basses to his standards. This was one of two original basses that Les performed with onstage with Primus and has a walnut top with a maple.
